My Story

Hi there my name is Greg Dunne I am a 58 year old married man with 5 children.
I came from a family of 6 children, 2 adults, me being the oldest sibling.
I spent my formative years in Onehunga moving to Mangere Bridge when I was about 7 years old.
My trade in my younger years was in the Domestic Upholstery Line. I started my trade at John Young Furniture at 16 working my way up the ladder within the company.
At around the age of 30 I started my own business in Parnell in Auckland specializing in recovery of antique furniture.
Through out my life it has come natural for me to be able to support and encourage people from all walks of life in difficult life issues.
In my early forties I became a non denominational Christian and that lead me to doing my tertiary Counselling Studies at Life Way College in Snells Beach North Auckland.
Since then I have worked in various different agencies including being on call Male Counsellor for the Salvation Army
in Orewa.
This has given me a solid platform of experience and knowledge to help people on their journey to wholeness and healing.
I have run a private practice for several years in which I received most of my clients from GP referrals.

What I Do?
I am an NZQA qualified counsellor and have a full current membership with NZCCA.
I am experienced in working with adults, families and teenagers, and have a particular heart for men who are seeking to deal with real-life re-occurring issues.
I have also have had a lot of experience working in various challenging industries.
Drawing from my own life experience I understand the power spoken words and thoughts can have over the quality of our life.
Working primarily from Cognitive Therapy (CBT) modality, I believe strongly that learned behaviours and patterns of thought can be changed.
Helping people realize their real- full potential.
